There are many great charitable organizations in Loudoun County. As it should be. Consistently ranked as one of the wealthiest counties in the world, we have been blessed with decades of prosperity and economic growth. And despite all we have accomplished, there are still those in need all around us.
It's difficult to imagine, but on any given day, as many as 15,000 people in our community are facing "food insecurity", meaning they literally don't know where their next meal is coming from. Many of these people are children. For many, Loudoun Hunger Relief is the only answer.
Loudoun Hunger Relief is my favorite local charity because they provide such immediate, direct and high quality assistance to the needs of local residents. Loudoun Hunger Relief President & CEO Jennifer Montgomery and her staff are so passionate about their mission. They treat their clients with respect, dignity and care. They feed the hungry. I can't think of many higher callings than that.
Thank you to the dedicated staff at Loudoun Hunger Relief, the hundreds of community members who generously volunteer their time and all of you who provide financial support for this great Loudoun institution.
